Nathan Willis
Introduction
Nathan Willis, PhD, LMHC, CFMHE brings deep compassion and a heart for people into his counseling work. He is energized by helping clients better understand themselves and experience tangible relief and growth along their healing journey.
Outside the therapy room, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and their beloved pets. A lover of nature and adventure, he finds refreshment in travel and time outdoors. He’s also an avid student of American history.
Counseling Philosophy
Dr. Nate believes that counseling is most effective when built on a foundation of authentic relationship. He fosters connection through genuine connection and humor, helping clients feel at ease as they begin the work of transformation. One of his core affirmations is: “You are not the problem; the problem is the problem.” This perspective creates space for healing without shame or self-blame.
Dr. Nate integrates evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Brainspotting to guide clients through trauma, emotional stuck points, and identity reconstruction.
