Kerri Timothy
Introduction
Kerri Timothy began her work in the social work and counseling field immediately after college in 1995. Over the course of her career, she has served as a Child Private Investigator with DCF, worked extensively in two child and adolescent group homes, supported clients in a psychiatric behavioral center with BayCare, and held both administrative and practitioner roles at a local counseling center. She is currently the co-owner of Empowered Path Counseling.
From a young age, Kerri felt a deep call to help others. Affectionately nicknamed “Ker Bear” during her childhood and teen years, she was the one friends and strangers alike could count on to listen, sit beside, and offer comfort—no matter who they were or where they came from. Her compassion was instinctive, and though she always knew she was meant to serve others, it was in college that she discovered counseling as the perfect avenue to live out her purpose.
Originally born in Alabama, Kerri has lived all across the U.S., with her longest roots in Texas and Florida. Frequent moves helped her develop resilience and strong social skills, while her deep love for animals and nature shaped her lifestyle. Health and wellness are central to her daily rhythm—she enjoys working out, eating nourishing food, and soaking in the outdoors whenever the sun is shining. She also finds joy in boating, live music, and all forms of creative expression. Through life’s most challenging moments, Kerri’s unwavering faith in God and her love for music have been her anchors—strengths she now offers to others in their healing journeys.
Kerri Timothy has partnered with the Camaraderie Foundation to provide mental health counseling for military families!
